Terms of Registration and Payment

1. Registration

Registration for the congress is done online. By submitting the online registration form, you are making a binding registration and committing to pay the fee. The number of participants is limited to 350; registrations will be considered in the order in which they are received.

After successful registration and payment of the fee, an automatic confirmation of receipt will be sent by email.

2. Participation fees

A participation fee of EUR 350.00 (VAT not applicable) will be charged for participation in the congress. The participation fee contributes to costs coverage of the congress and includes participation in the scientific program, congress documents and a one-year CEDA membership fee. All prices quoted are in the currency specified in the registration process.

3. Terms of payment

The participation fee must be paid immediately upon registration by credit card. Any bank charges, especially for international transfers, are to be borne by the participants themselves. The payment process is handled on behalf of Deutsche Diabetes Forschungsgesellschaft e.V. by Agentur Passepartout GmbH & Co. KG (Meerbuscher Straße 64, Haus 2, 40670 Meerbusch).

4. Invoice

An invoice will be provided after completion of registration and receipt of payment. Invoice details (e.g., institution, address, etc.) must be provided correctly during registration. Subsequent changes may only be considered to a limited extent.

5. Cancellation and withdrawal

Cancellation of registration is only possible in writing (e.g., by email). The date of receipt of the cancellation by the organizer is decisive for compliance with the deadline.

The following cancellation conditions apply:

Cancellation by 11 May 2026 12 a.m. (CEST): 50% refund.

Cancellations after this date: no refund.

Any costs or processing fees already incurred may be retained.

6. Replacement participants

The registration may be transferred to a replacement participant after prior consultation with the organizer, if there are no organizational reasons preventing this.

7. Changes and cancellation of the event

The organizer reserves the right to adjust the content or timing of the program or to change individual program items. Changes do not entitle participants to a reduction or refund of the participation fee.

In the event of complete cancellation of the event, the participation fee already paid will be refunded. No further claims, in particular for travel or accommodation costs, shall be accepted.

8. Travel and accommodation, international participants

Participants are responsible for organizing their own travel, accommodation, and any necessary visas. An invitation or confirmation of participation does not imply that a visa will be issued. 

9. Data protection

Personal data will be processed upon your registration and in accordance with the applicable data protection regulations. Your data may be used, stored and processed by the organizer (Deutsche Diabetes-Forschungsgesellschaft e.V.), congress partners (Agentur Passepartout GmbH & Co. KG) and Service providers (ConfTool GmbH). Further information can be found in the organizer’s privacy policy.

10. Photo and video recordings

During the event, photos and videos will be taken for documentation, reporting and public relations purposes. Photos and videos will be used for internal and external communication purposes, such as press relations, websites, or social media. Consent may be withdrawn by sending an email to info@ceda2026.com or by contacting the organizer on site.

11. Place of performance and jurisdiction

The place of performance and jurisdiction is Düsseldorf and German law shall be applicable.
